My contact recently switched email services. Why does mail to them always bounce?
Sometimes, when people switch email services, the old address stays cached in your autocomplete
cache. If you are getting a bounce with this message
#550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.ExRecipNotFound; not found ##
this is likely happening to you.
To resolve this issue you must delete the entry in your autocomplete cache.
- In Outlook, start composing a new message to the recipient whose address is cached incorrectly. Don't fully type their name.
- Once their name appears in autocomplete, select the incorrect address by using the arrow keys.
- Hit the Delete key.
